Must-see museums
Everyone knows London’s museums and galleries rank among the best in the world, but did you know that most of them are free? There’s no price put on chatting beneath a blue whale at the Natural History Museum, deciphering the Rosetta Stone at the British Museum or bowing to Bowie at the Victoria and Albert Museum. You can even get your modern art fix at Tate Modern or view a van Gogh at the National Gallery. With hundreds of options, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Shop till you drop
As fashion and retail capitals go, you won’t find many more stylish than London. Grab some friends and stroll down bustling Oxford Street or Bond Street and you’ll encounter some of the world’s biggest brands and best department stores, from Selfridges to Liberty London. For a more tailored fit head to Savile Row, an area famous for its bespoke menswear, or spend a day mingling with the rich and famous at postcard-perfect Harrods.
Off the beaten track
Once you’ve ticked off your favourite big-name attractions, it’s time to get off the beaten track. The sheer variety of activities London has to offer is astounding, between interactive experiences like The Crystal Maze and Secret Cinema to Scenes in the Square and Swingers Crazy Golf, there’s a lot of fun to be had. If you’re seeking something more casual, there are plenty of incredible music venues and drop-in bars themed around everything from pool and ping pong to pétanque.
